CEO TODAY ASIA AWARDS 2021 Energy 26 Qijun President of CNPC China National Petroleum Corporation About Hou Qijun Mr. Hou Qijun has rich working experience in China’s oil and gas industry. In October 2002, Mr. Hou became Director and Vice President of Daqing Oilfield Company. He was appointed as President of Jilin Oilfield Company in October 2004. From September 2011, he served as Vice President of PetroChina Natural Gas & Pipeline Company, and concurrently as Director General of PetroChina Oil & Gas Pipeline Control Center from March 2012. In November 2013, Mr. Hou became Director General of Planning Department of both CNPC and PetroChina. InMarch 2017, he was appointed ice President of CNPC. From April 2017, he also took the position of President of PetroChina Exploration and Production Company. Mr. Hou began to work concurrently as Director and Vice President of PetroChina in June 2017 and was appointed President of PetroChina in March 2019. In October 2019, Mr. Hou was appointed as Director and President of China Oil & Gas Pipeline Network Corporation (PipeChina).
